magnus' cringe yumeship shrine
hello and welcome to the page dedicated entirely to my beautiful f/o, pickles the drummer!!! if you're unfamiliar with his source media, it's basically a cartoon about a metal band (even though it goes way deeper than just that hehe) and i was lucky enough to get attached to pickles!! who is the drummer of the band, which is pretty obvious.
pickles has always been my favorite since i was a little kid... i'm pretty sure i drew him for school when i was like 7 hehe. as i got older he became more and more relatable and now we are dating in my mind!!! it's been like this for as long as i can remember... i'd share my art on here but i only do traditional so thats kinda hard -_-
about pickles & my selfinsert!
first i'm gonna talk about pickles because i could literally do that for hours!!! pickles is a horny idiotic druggie. and i love him! he is voiced by brendon small, my favorite man from illinois (thats where im from!!). i wish he didn't have those stupid white boy dreads, but it's part of his charm. he's the percussionist of dethklok, but before there was dethklok, there was snakes n' barrels, a gay ass hair metal band where he sang and played guitar. he has no known last name and he's from tomahawk wisconsin... i love my men midwestern...
he grew up with an awful family life, which adds to the relatable aspects of his character. he's the shortest member of dethklok hehe... he's kind of a twink but i like to imagine he's got a beer belly. another huge aspect of his personality is his adoration for "substances". it's brought up in almost every episode, and especially in s3 e8 (rehabklok) it's delved into very well. it's one of my favorite episodes, and not just because it's pickles centric. i really do recommend you watch metalocalypse if you haven't already! it's a wonderful experience and the community is too :3
he's a very charming character, and i'd definitely label him as a fan favorite. apart from his addiction and trauma, he's shown throughout the series as caring (especially towards nathan). he's angry and quick-tempered, but is easily the most emotionally mature member of dethklok. he has issues with self-acceptance and low esteem... mostly because of his family. despite his build, he's very, very strong. he's the mother of the band, as stated in aotd and generally implied throughout the series. he is also a big sex fan, although nowhere near as promiscuous as skwisgaar.
now, onto my self insert! his name is logan, not magnus, because there's already a magnus in the show and he's the antagonist. his relationship with pickles is very public, pickles being the type of guy to show his partners off. he's the voice of reason and keeps pickles calm when he's losing his temper. he makes pickles drive him around everywhere because i myself have tried to drive and had a panic attack hehe... logan is a very personal character, as is the yumeship, because pickles inspires me to be more unashamed of my personality and helped me come out of my shell during middle school. and i've gotta express my love for him! no image of logan, sorry, i cant draw on computers TwT
